Sensi Thermostats - Reminder

Cupertino, April 25, 2020

Initially I installed a few devices around the house with Wink, shortly before HomeKit became anything. Due to the way Wink as a whole seems to be trying to leak, a few months ago, I bought a Z-Wave stick and migrated my switches, sockets and a lock to HomeAssistant, which I then connected to Home.

MyQ garage door opener has moved to Homebridge due to common issues with the HomeAssistant plugin. Because I had HomeBridge anyway, I added IP cameras.

My original Sensi thermostats are lagging behind on Wink because there is currently no plug-in for HomeAssistant or HomeBridge. As it turns out, mine was part of a reminder because of a fire hazard. Credit where appropriate - Emerson has replaced only 4 premium Wink thermostats with the latest HomeKit compatible devices. Strangely, they are now my only native HomeKit devices.

If you find yourself lucky enough to have dangerous thermostats, you may be in for a pleasant surprise.
