I have a Shelly 1 relay running Mongoose HomeKit firmware. It is connected to the garage door opener and can open and close the door via the Home or Siri app. There is a reed switch connected to Shelly to allow information about the status of the open / closed door. I just bought a smart wall switch Meross MSS510 and I would like to make the two work together (in fact, this is just a test bed, in the end I want the switch to control a Shelly that will turn me on and off gas fireplace). Meross has only discrete start / stop conditions, we created two automations, one for when the switch is on, the other for when the switch is off. Both automations are otherwise the same: if the door is OPEN, close it. Otherwise, open it. If I use "Test this automation" in the Home application, the door works as expected. However, when I try to use the switch, nothing happens. By no means do I want to convey that I recommend for the mother to be in the switch for the OFF -> ON or ON -> OFF switch. I have nothing connected to the Load Out cable on the Meross. I don't know if he needs anything there or what I would connect to him if he has. Is there a better switch that I can use to get the desired effect (basically a toggle switch)? Sorry for the long post. Appreciate any help offered.
