Signify, the company behind the Philips Hue smart home product line, has announced two new products that are indispensable: the Philips Hue Smart Plug and the Philips Hue Smart Button.

Following the footsteps of many other smart home manufacturers, the new Philips Hue Smart Plug plug transforms "any table or floor lamp" into a smart Hue lamp, so users can plug the smart plug into a new one. any electrical outlet, and then plug a product into the smart socket unit itself to activate or deactivate it with the help of Hue application or voice assist such as Siri. In addition, the plug can be controlled via the Home app on iOS and macOS.

Then the Philips Hue Smart button. This small accessory allows users to long-press the button to illuminate and dim the connected Phillips Hue lights and create custom controls via the Hue app.

In one press, you can control your Hue lights as you see fit, or hold down the button to illuminate and dim your lights. When connected to the Philips Hue Bridge, you can configure the button so that your lights are set to a predefined shade of white light and a brightness level appropriate for the time of day; in the morning, a pressure will light your lights to cool them, and in the evening, a pressure will trigger warmer and weaker light settings.

Both new products will be marketed in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and New Zealand in October, with the exception of Italy and Switzerland who will not receive the Philips Hue Smart plug. The button will be priced at $ 19.99, while the smart plug will be available for $ 39.99.
