Siri shortcuts work sometimes and then not at all

Anyone experience changes, for better or worse, with HomeKit and Siri shortcuts?

I have a smarter smart coffee pot and use it with Siri shortcuts. It worked great in iOS 13, but lately sometimes, from time to time, I will use the shortcut "turn on the coffee", and Siri, on HomePod, will start a song with coffee in the name of haha. So annoying though. Works perfectly on iPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 14.2, the latest beta version. HomePod is on 14.1. Although the other shortcut with Neato robovac still seems to work well, it could very well be Smarter's fault.

On another note, Siri in CarPlay has somehow changed along with iOS 14, at least in my experience with some cases. When I ask him to change my VOCOlinc air purifier, he now asks me for confirmation, as if it were a security device. I've also noticed that I need to be more specific when using voice commands for HomeKit in CarPlay mode. When I'm asked to change the thermostat or unlock / lock the doors, etc., she says she can't do that in the car, which leads me to believe that somewhere on the line you'll be able to control some of your car's controls using Siri in CarPlay - that would be pretty great. Has anyone experienced these behaviors before?
