I'm looking to spend money on HomeKit products to make my apartment "smarter"
Currently I have no interest in a thermostat, because my whole apartment is an AC window. Also, no interest in blinds, because we only have a sliding door and skylights.
I'm especially interested in switches and light bulbs, maybe the occasional smart socket (I'd like to avoid them, if possible, because they're ugly)
I'm also interested in getting motion sensors, but it's certainly not a necessity, it can be a problem with cats in the house.
I'd like to avoid Home-Bridge if someone can't explain why it's safe and easy to use.
Please drop the recommendations you have experienced and you can say that it works well. Thanks!
