Smart Home bored

Cupertino, April 20, 2020

I'm bored with my smart home. Part of the fun of building my smart home was installing and configuring it all. But I feel like I'm hitting a plateau. I am bored. I liked the smart home, but I remain without innovation. I have WeMo switches, cassette switches, iDevice plugs and switches, Eve and aqara contact sensors (love aqara), Hue and aqara motion sensors (which my wife and child enjoy), a level lock (which I think has so much potential and I love it).

I have set up the motion and contact sensors. I have the time of day and I come home and leave the programs set at home.

Most of what I have is general programming and detection. I'm curious what everyone else did? Something fun and different? I also set up a homebridge, which helps me control my room.

I feel like I could buy a lot more, but I don't want to spend endlessly on frivolous technology.
