I'm looking to see if there's a smart HomeKit lock that connects to the HomeKit via Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth. For context, I recently purchased the fourth-generation August Wi-Fi lock to find that while the lock can connect to Wi-Fi for its own app, in order to connect to the HomeKit, it must be find out within range of my hub's Bluetooth range. This doesn't work for me, because my hub is nowhere near the front door, where the lock is. This doesn't make sense to me, because I feel that the lock should be able to connect to my hub via Wi-Fi, as do other HomeKit devices, but I don't think so.
