Smart outlet that can trigger a HomeKit automation based on exactly how much power is flowing through the outlet, not just that it's in use.

Hi. I thought of a way to essentially make repetitive announcements on our Amazon echo devices when our laundry is done. I'll use a voice monkey routine triggered by an HTTP request triggered from a HomeKit automation converted into a shortcut to trigger these ads on our devices. However, now comes the part where we need to figure out how exactly we can start and stop these ads. To stop them, I'm pretty sure I'll use a contact sensor on the washing machine door. but to turn them on, we first jumped to a smart plug that monitors energy consumption. But then, since our washer has a dial that moves during the cycle, I decided on a contact sensor on the dial. But it was pointed out to me in a post asking for a small contact sensor suggestion that it might not work very well, so now I'm back to the smart plug idea. But the problem is, I can't figure out what smart outlet would be able to trigger the HomeKit automation to start making Washer Done announcements based on how much power is being used. I don't want to use the in use attribute as I'm worried that it will activate if the washing machine draws anything above 0W, while I'm not entirely sure if the washing machine will draw 0W when not running. In theory it will since it's not digital, but I don't want to have that need to experiment and possibly have to return or reuse at least one plug. So I'm looking for an outlet that exposes exactly how much power is drawn from it to HomeKit for use in a HomeKit automation. I know the Connect Sense smart plug allows this, but I'd rather not put in a new plug. Any suggestions on a smart plug that would allow us to do this?
