Smart ringtone, but do you keep the existing ringtone?

Cupertino, October 23, 2021

(A little OT) I'll get a new bell at the new house (I currently have a Ring and I'll leave it behind). Probably Netatmo. Anyway: the new place has some charming period elements, one of which is the old school bell that rings at the front door. I've never connected a smart ringtone to an existing ringtone switch, so I was wondering if there's a way to connect it to ring the phone / app, but the bells are still ringing inside the house? My guess is that rewiring the smart ringer would cancel the existing ringtone if I don't do something creative with the wires.
