I've seen similar posts in the past and now do what seems to be best practice, but I wanted to know if anyone has developed anything better. I have a room with an open socket and no other lights. I added some smart plugs with connected lamps and made them a HomeKit group. I changed the switch for the socket to be a smart switch and turned that other light into HomeKit. We've added two smart switch automations, one for on and one off, which turns the smart plugs on and off. This is a bit awkward since I now have two "lights", one off and one on, and two automations. I would rather have it so that all the lights are grouped together and when I use the wall switch, everything turns on and off together. I'm running a Homebridge court and I've been looking for solutions. There are some promising plugins, but I haven't come up with better solutions than the ones I've set up right now. Any idea? I don't go outside of HomeKit or Homebridge ecosystems to do that.
