I'm thinking of making all the lights in the house smart, but I just can't decide which is the best option. I've been looking for a few opinions, but there's not much on the web about smart devices. So ... what do you think is the best option for a smart home? I want colored light bulbs, so from this perspective a smart switch would not do much (because light bulbs or luminaires would be smart anyway). As for the luminaires (the Philips Hue ones), they look good, but with LEDs inside, once they break (+20 years or earlier if you're unlucky), they become useless. on the other hand, smart bulbs can be added to any luminaire and are much cheaper. What do you think?
