I wonder what everyone uses here for smoke and CO2 alarms - do you get the type that integrates with your home alarm monitoring system or do you keep them separate and install homekit compatible sensors? I'm trying to figure out which way to go with this and if it makes more sense to use the ones provided by the alarm company, so that everything is integrated with the monitoring system. I live in Canada and many of the Nest and Homekit compatible systems do not connect to alarm monitoring services.
