So LG TV's don't properly support HomeKit and they admit it..

Cupertino, November 16, 2020

I have 2 LG TV's and never really noticed this before because I was always around the 75" when I wanted to use HK to turn it on. I put an 86" in our game room over the weekend and then noticed I couldn't turn on the TV I'm not close to. Went through factory reset, made sure power savings was off, tried wifi instead of ethernet all same result. Only responds in the Home app when in BT range, turn BT on iPhone off and TV goes unresponsive.. seems that's by design according to this. Dumb it doesn't use the BT to talk to a home hub..
