Solution for Koogeek devices that do not respond in the Home application when using Xfinity xFi

When we switched the internet to xfinity xFi, all of our Koogeek devices started having connectivity issues. I searched for answers online and found nothing, so I post my solution here to help anyone facing similar issues.

tl; dr is to configure each device with a static IP using the gateway’s website.

More detailed instructions:

1. Confirm that you can log in to 10.0.0.1 on your browser. If you haven’t done this before, your user / password combo is probably admin / password

2. Wipe all unresponsive devices from the home application.

3. Reconnect each device.

4. On 10.0.0.1, click the “View connected devices” button in the Connected devices panel.

5. For each newly connected device, click the Edit button and then set the configuration to “Reserved IP” and save.

This was a stable solution for me. I hope to help someone else there to deal with this problem!
