Standards and compatibility

Cupertino, March 9, 2021

I had a quick question about my first steps in updating my lights / devices to be smart, but I'm not sure how all available systems interact and I had a hard time digesting information on Reddit / YouTube / etc. My current idea is to buy an Apple HomePod Mini and use it as my "base unit" to run a total of about 15 Lidl / Livarno Lux smart bulbs. Would this be a viable option and could I control the bulbs through the Apple HomeKit? I'm just a little lacking in ideas about Zigbee compatibility and whether a Zigbee compatible device can interface well with Apple. Would I also plan to add to the system gradually in the future, with devices from different brands like Phillips Hue, from what I understand they should be able to work together? Thanks! (Post this in a few different subs to get a faster response)
