Subsequent light strips mounted in recessed ceiling light fixtures!

Cupertino, February 1, 2024

On a tight budget and without good ceiling light solutions like many who live in US rentals? Love smart products and a good presentation, but don't have the budget for the latest offerings? Fret no more, here's a (ish) solution. You will need an easy flush mount, tape, screws and anchors, screwdriver, cord correctors, a strip of light and a ladder. Nothing electrical. I purchased these LED fixtures from IKEA, they are cheap, light and have a lot of space inside (enough to accommodate a whole strip of light spread inside its base). Be sure to glue the strips there well, or if you prefer as a temporary measure (in case you feel like using the strips as strips later), glue them to the base. Then you can drill two holes in the ceiling to anchor the base. Insert the anchors, screw in the screws and then attach the cover to the base. Voilá, you got yourself a cute, color-changing and incredibly smart ceiling light for the price of bananas. I left the controller inside (I have the Nanoleaf), the light fixture in one and outside the other (still working on which one is best). The cord going down to the socket was covered by a white base corrector. Note: In both cases I had outlets not too far from the light fixtures, but if more cable was needed, I would have added an extension cord or patched the cable. This is great because I didn't want to deal with electrical crap, but I wanted overhead lighting in the bathroom and in my closet, so this had very minimal property damage and I didn't have to spend a ton of money. on Nanoleaf's new general offer (money is tight)! Before I let you go: If you do this, make sure all the pieces are flush with the base, otherwise you can see the strip/controller through the cover when you turn on the lights and it's not a pretty effect. Hope it works for you too!
