Suddenly ... my smart home is no longer functioning properly

Cupertino, February 28, 2020

So, at one point last night, things decided to stop working as they were ... and I don't realize why.

Examples of problems:

The heater connected to the smart plug Eve stayed up all night. Automation to turn off the jack when it has reached a certain timer (configured in the Eve application) has not triggered.

Hue breakers do not talk to HomeKit anymore. Any configuration in the Home application simply doesn't work. Whatever is configured in the Hue application still works.

The LIFX Z lights were on in the morning. The Hue brightness stop in the different room did not turn off all the lights of the house as it is configured, but also, the automation fails to stop everything at 3 in the morning, did not start from HomeKit.

HomeKit automation to turn on other lights when a certain light is on does not light.

Many other possible examples, but not all tested.

All accessories can be perfectly controlled from the Home application. All test automations are triggered correctly.

The router only displays 9 connected devices instead of the usual 27-ish. The devices that have been tested work properly, so they need to be connected to the internet, e.g. smart card configured in Homebridge, which uses internet credentials to connect (Tuya Web) and Sonoff (ewelink-max), so I'm not sure the total number of devices reflects correctly.

Corrections tried but failed:

- Restarted router (Netgear Orbi)
- rebooted Hue hub
- Rebooted Home Hub (HomePod)

Possible to note: the shades hub is on 43 total devices, according to the Home application.

The urgent help needed before other home users start the campaign for a moving home instead of a smart home! 😂

Any suggestions appreciated.
