Switches w/ Dimmera

Cupertino, November 17, 2020

Just bought a new house and for god knows what reason, old homeowners preferred to use the analog dimmers without the covers. They had the covers but just for show otherwise you’d be touching the metal portion of the switch directly.

My first task after painting and such is to replace those switches for sure. Question is that should I go for the Leviton types of switches and eat the higher cost for integration or get something Alexa or Google Assistant compatible and use the homebridge integration instead?

I just want to make sure I don’t have to sell my right kidney and left eye on the black market to fund this project.
