Sylvania Smart Bulb A19 responded slowly after the recent update

Does anyone else have an awkward slow response time from light bulbs after the recent iOS / tvOS update? It interrupts some of my automation because HomeKit is not able to detect the current status of the bulb. I tried to set them from scratch and update the firmware, but nothing seems to help.
