The Aqara temperature sensor is switched off when it is under freezing

Cupertino, February 5, 2020

This morning I removed my Aqara temperature and humidity sensor.

In the Xiaomi and Aqara app it showed the temperature was below freezing, but in the Home app it showed off. The moisture was still showing. When the temperature reached over freezing, he again showed the correct temperature. Can't Homekit handle negative temperatures or does the aqara gate report something Homekit can't understand?

The sensor is connected via the Aqara hub and is set to Homekit mode.
