I currently have four Honeywell RTH9585 connected to the HomeKit via homebridge. Everything works well, except the thermostat for the children’s bedrooms. The thermostat is located in a hall that is heated by the heat on the ground floor. A bedroom has many windows and faces the shaded part of the house, so it is always extremely cold. I hope to solve the problem with a smart thermostat with remote sensors that I can put in children’s bedrooms. It’s an area, so I know it won’t solve the problem entirely, but a smart motion and temperature sensor should help a lot. What is the best thermostat for this application? Ecobee seems to be the favorite in this sub, but I would love to hear from people who have ecobee and from people who have other options.
