The best way to approach the sub-cabinet lighting for the new kitchen: HomeKit light strip safe or socket + random draw?

Cupertino, January 20, 2020

We remodel our kitchen and look at the sub-table lighting. What is the best way to approach this? The best solution is a HomeKit compatible lightweight band such as Hue or Eve? Or should we go with a simple option and plug it into a Lutron Box socket?

We use the Lutron Cassette sockets throughout the house, so this option seems the simplest and avoids the need for a new bridge. However, before I went on this route, I just wanted to see if there was anything new on the market or if there was a terrible flaw with this plan.

Thank you in advance!
