This may be more of an electrical question, but I just hope someone has a similar setup or problem and can help. I have a relatively new ceiling fan with a light hunter. I want to replace the only Hunter switch that controls both the fan and the light with the Cassette fan switch and the dimmer switch. The box fan switch works well, but the drive switch will not turn on the light. The switch lights come on and I tried a factory test on the switch. Impasse. I can even replace the Cassette dimmer with a normal switch or with a blade switch from Legrand and the light works. I moved the Cassette dimmer to another room switch and it worked. I connected right back to the Hunter switch (connecting only the light part) and it works. There must be something with the Hunter fan. I called Lutron for help and, based on my previous troubleshooting, I don’t know why it doesn’t work. I use 4 bulbs with 40w incandescent chandeliers in the light. Do you have a thought?
