The Meross light switch cannot be added

Cupertino, October 28, 2021

I can't connect my new one-way light switch to my smart home. When I try through the Home application, I get the message that the accessory cannot be added and in the Meross application I am stuck at the step where I have to join the Meross WiFi channel. I'm on iOS 15.1, my WiFi is set to 2.4 GHz, I restarted my router and reset the network settings. What else can I do? The switch works physically and I see the amber / flashing green LED.
