The new Eero 6 Plus - iHome iSP100 will not work

Cupertino, November 12, 2021

I upgraded my WiFi from home to Eero 6 Plus (pack of 3) and the process was surprisingly easy and all my HomeKit devices worked fine. Except for my two iHome iSP100 outdoor sockets. It doesn't work and I guess it's because they only have 2.4 GHz, while the new router is also 5 GHz, with no way to create two separate SSIDs (as I was able to do with my old router ). Using the troubleshooting information about Eero, I can turn off the 5 GHz band for testing, but only for about 10 minutes. When I do this, I can see the iSP100 in the WiFi settings on my iPhone. But I can't add them back to the iHome app, nor can I add them back to the Apple Home app even by scanning the code on the drive. I tried different things for over an hour, resetting, restarting, trying again. But no luck. Is this a useless exercise? Is there any way to make these plugs work again? If not, is there a better HomeKit outlet? (I have these sockets to turn on the projectors when my Philips Hue motion detectors are triggered.) Thanks for any advice.
