Puma is about to launch a cracked blue mosaic home kit for Manchester City ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
City will enter the season in pursuit of winning the Premier League title, with Liverpool rivals lifting the trophy for the first time in their history.
There are also a number of unanswered questions about the club's call for a two-year European ban on UEFA finances for violations of financial fair play.
Should the ban be maintained, there are fears that key players could leave the club and existing sponsorship contracts could be affected if City no longer plays in the most prestigious club competition in Europe.
Puma kit sponsors signed a ten-year, $ 650 million lucrative contract with City in February 2019 and placed their support behind the club, saying they "have full confidence" in the club's management and are "convinced that they the charges will be eliminated. "
In this regard, Puma continued with their plans to redesign the home set of the city, and Footy Headlines released a brief image of the new design.
The shirt retains the blue City Skyic symbol, but has a white mosaic pattern cracked on the chest.
The kit is said to be part of the "Craft of Culture" theme from Puma, with the mosaic pattern inspired by the mosaics that can be seen in Manchester, which honors local sports, music and business icons.
The purple accents and cutouts from this season's shirt have also been trimmed.
The leaked design didn't go down well with City fans, most hating the mosaic idea.
"Awful," wrote one fan.
"Does it cost less as it breaks?" he joked for a second.
"Why can't it just be a solid blue?" moaned a third supporter. "These kit manufacturers always do too much."
"Who designed this was inspired while they were by the pool," commented another.
"Do they represent their hopes and dreams in the Champions League?" a rival fan joked.
