I have been a HomeKit user for years and have been following this subredit for years. I’ve also had a few default devices on “No Answer” … for years lol. I had quite a few devices (sockets and bulbs) in my old drawer. My newest addition, the Insignia garage door opener, went the same way. I always read people’s comments about the need for a good router, but I thought I had pretty decent connectivity, so I was just stubborn and thought I might reset my devices in the presentation. But I was definitely wrong! I just got a hero a few weeks ago and things were flawless. Even the devices I had in my old drawer stayed connected for weeks. I had some issues with homepods and Airplaying from Apple TVs and everything was almost perfect now. I’m starting to get excited about HomeKit again and now I’m just looking for new things to add haha. Anyway … this is not a plow for heroes. All the more so, just some encouragement for any reader out there stuck in the “No Answer” hell who hasn’t pressed the trigger of a new router yet. A good router / good connectivity really is everything! (Maybe not everything, but it definitely helps)
