The smart, “invisible” Level Lock hides inside your existing door lock hardware

Cupertino, February 8, 2020

If you want all the benefits of a smart lock, but don't prefer to replace the elegant door lock with powerful smart hardware, the next level lock might just be the ticket.

On display at CES and scheduled for launch this year, Level Lock replaces hardware interior locking your door, including deadlock, while allowing you to keep your keyhole and original casting.

Generously, the C2 battery that powers the level lock is inside the lock itself. Level Home, the company behind the Lock Lock level, promises up to a year of battery life.

Once installed, the lock level has most of the features you expect from a smart lock, including keyless entry with your iPhone or Android phone, the ability to share keys that are active only on a specific day and time, automatically unlocking when you approach the door with an iOS device and a history of who recently locked or unlocked your door.

The C2 battery of the lock level, which lasts up to one year, is in the lock itself.

The Bluetooth enabled lock level, which was first announced in October last year, is set to arrive with native HomeKit support, which means you can control the lock with voice commands via Siri. A HomeKit hub (such as an Apple TV, iPad, or HomePod) will allow remote control of the lock level, as well as the ability to enable automation.

Unfortunately, there is no Alexa or Google Assistant support and there is no Zigbee or Z-Wave.

Level Home currently puts customers interested in the lock level on a waiting list. A company representative says the first devices will be delivered in the coming weeks.

The lock level will retail for $ 249, once it is generally available, but you can lock it for $ 199 if you sign up for the level wait list.
