[Apple's HomeKit Secure Video site](https://www.apple.com/ios/home/accessories/#section-camera) clearly lists [Somfy Outdoor Camera](https://www.somfy.co.uk/products/cameras-and-alarm-systems/smart-security-cameras/somfy-outdoor-camera) as accepted.
The Somfy website itself does not mention HomeKit. Due to its listing on the Apple website, I bought one of these cameras and after a firmware update to v2.0 it appears in the HomeKit for viewing, but clearly does not support HomeKit Secure Video; only DropBox and Google are offered as options for cloud storage.
There are no HomeKit commands for video playback.
I emailed Somfy support over a week ago, but received no response.
I emailed Apple to let them know about this error.
Either someone at Somfy doesn't understand the difference between HomeKit and HomeKit Secure Video, or he lied to show it. I'm going to return the camera.
I'm still looking for an external camera to support Secure Video - Netatmo cameras are listed as "announced" - does anyone else have additional information? I have some of the Logitech Circle cameras, but I don't think they're sturdy enough for external use - I also like the idea of combining them with a security light (like Netatmo). No siren needed.
