The vending machines now only seem to work when my partner is home, even if they are set to "when someone is home"

Cupertino, May 13, 2021

Hi, I just started using HomeKit and trying home automation stuff. I currently have three smart bulbs (IKEA Tradfri) that are connected to the HomeKit with my iPad as a hub. At first everything worked fine. We have set up some basic automations, namely: Lamp lit at sunset, if someone is at home, never turn off. When the lamp is off, turn on the bedroom light (between 21:00 and 01:00, if someone is at home). Stop after 45 minutes. The bedroom light turns on at 7.30am, goes out at 9am. All of this worked well for a few weeks and then started not working. I restarted the gateway, iPad, checked for updates, etc. I recently realized that, most of the time, it doesn't work if my partner is out of the house. He worked far away and, while he was leaving, the automations did not work and only on the evening when he suddenly returned did they seem to be working well. Now he's gone again, the same problem. I'm the one who configured the whole system, I implemented the automations and I invited him to configure it so that he can control it, so I'm not sure why suddenly he doesn't seem to like me too much! All the lights respond if I play with them in the app and they seem to work well, does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do? Thanks!
