This new Matter over Thread motor and curtain track system comes in a basic 1m master track length, with additional extensions ranging from 50, 20, and 10cm sections (depending on the size ordered) to get the right length. The motor requires a mains power connection, although it has a battery inside for emergency use.
Unlike the older curtain tracks, this new model has a totally different system that doesn’t require cutting a rubber gear track to size, instead using a pulley system that adjusts by itself to the track length.
It comes with a mini remote that can open/close the curtains at 3 speeds, and can be manually opened or closed by pulling the curtain.
It works with HomeKit, Google, and SmartThings, although not Alexa as it doesn’t support window coverings yet.
The only downside is that if you disconnect mains power, the motor will show no response in your chosen platform until you reconnect the motor, although it will still work via the remote or manually.
