Theater Hall - Automatic Curtain / HomeKit?

Cupertino, September 1, 2020

I have a basement room that I convert into a theater. I have most of the decisions made.

I didn't measure, but in the stadium number, I have a 6-foot door, with 3-4 feet on each side of the door. I would like to mount a motorized curtain track large enough for the curtain to be hidden in the room when not in use, but it closes completely when you watch a movie.

I can handle automation, but I don't know what to use.

Curtain recommendation: I would like one (set) that looks good on both sides of the curtain. I managed to find only curtains that look good on one side and do not "look good" on the outside of the room.

Equipment recommendation: I looked at the Aqara engine and track. Looks like it would work. It would be the first time we order from Alibaba or Bangood. Are there other options that do not "break the bank"? Aqara seems reasonably priced overall.

Always look for something to add the "Wow" factor to your home. So, if you have other interesting ideas about the Theater Hall, share!
