there are no devices in the room to support temperature control

Cupertino, November 18, 2021

I face a strange behavior in which Siri on the HomePod tells me "there are no devices in the room that accept temperature control" when I ask the temperature of a few rooms in particular. I have three Aqara temperature sensors in three different rooms, as well as an Ecobee thermostat with an additional remote sensor in another room. So 5 different rooms with temperature readings in total. I can ask Siri on my HomePod mini what is the temperature in room 1 and room 2 which have ecobee sensors and remote control, as well as room 3 which has one of the Aqara sensors and I will get an answer when reading the temperature. However, if I ask the same question ("hey siri, what's the temperature in ...?") In room 4 or 5, which also has Aqara sensors, I get "Hmm ... there are no devices in the room that accept temperature control. I can ask Siri on my watch, phone, or Mac and get the right answer, but not on my HomePod. Also, if I ask on Apple TV, I get the correct answers for the first three cameras and then for 4 and 5, even if I ask with their correct room name, it is by default a different camera in the answer. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any solutions?
