Thermostat automation

Cupertino, April 8, 2021

Hello everyone. Probably a very basic question, but one I struggle with a bit. I have an Ecobee thermostat (actually the only HomeKit device in the house apart from the mini) and I'm just starting with the automations. I installed the thermostat in January and set up a HomeKit geofence automation for "when the last person leaves the heat set to 66" and "when the first person gets home set the heat to 70" Now that the weather is warming up and AC is starting to need, when my wife and I leave the house, it goes from cool to warm, and the house gets hot while we're gone and when we get home to 70 heats and it never cools down until I set it and I also have manual cooling Ecobee has a "home" and "away" setting. Is there a way to use homekit automation to simply go home or depending on where my wife and I are? Thanks
