Thoughts on the rumored Apple & # 39; Tag & # 39;

Cupertino, September 9, 2019

Rumors say Apple will be announcing a tile-like device in their main note tomorrow. The primary use for this device would be to track important things, such as keys, wallets or bags.

However, this device
also opens up many opportunities for better coating registration. By placing one of these devices on opposite corners of a room, it would technically be possible to determine that a person wearing an Apple Watch or carrying an iPhone is in between those two tags and thus in the room.

This data would be nice for Homekit. First, it allows for better coating detection than the traditional motion sensors. In addition, nice features like location-switching to the control center would be possible. Or location-conscious Siri: "Turn on the lights" can simply control the lights in the room you're in.

I'm curious to see what Apple comes up with tomorrow.
