Tips for installing Logitech Circle View outdoors

Cupertino, October 5, 2021

I will be installing 4-5 rooms at my parents' house this weekend and I am struggling to decide what to do about their food. Fortunately, there are lights on the eaves of the house in perfect positions for the rooms, but my mother does not want to lose the lights, so I can not remove them and install an outdoor socket. I think these are my options, but I am open to any suggestions. 1. Add the junction box to the light switch and add the outer plug (the downside is that the lights should stay on for the camera to receive power) 2. Bite the bullet and try to add power through the bridge. This is a big two-story house and I've never been to the attic before. 3. Flip the Circle views and get the much more expensive Netatmo Presence cams, which have incorporated flood light and only replace existing lighting fixtures. Assuming that option 1 requires the power to be left on, I could, but Homekit lights classified outdoors for each of the luminaires. This would add the possibility for them to be activated when a person is detected by HKSV. I try to make this as simple as possible for my non-techie mom. Thoughts?
