Too many troubleshooting issues that appear in this under Reddit

Cupertino, July 17, 2019

I have subscribed to / HomeKit for about a month now and although I have learned some things, enjoyed discussions and opinions and even helped some members ... I have to say that there are more requests for help with HomeKit than I & # 39 ; I've seen anywhere ... and I find myself unable to help.

With such a simple question as, "My _____ doesn't work, can anyone help?", Opens up many options and an incredible amount of complexities that make it impossible to offer a solution. There are so many possible problems that I won't even list them and just say that the problem could be "hardware", "software", "communication" or "user settings" hiding the fact that under each of these categories there could be be about 300 things wrong ... for each! That's why technical support departments tell you to dry everything and start to freshen up. It eliminates about 250 possible problems.

If one of us happens to have dealt with the exact same problem under the exact same conditions, with exactly the same devices, someone can have a quick response ... but that's not likely.

Anyway, I feel bad.

Is there anything that can be done to help these poor people and in continuation of ourselves?
