Touchpad just for the door?

Cupertino, February 20, 2020

I'm a small business owner and I just moved to a new unit. I have Yale Assure deadbolt, but I only get cold feet with a touchpad and there is no hard key alternative to unlock the lock. My concern is that it is the only door in my unit and if this lock dies, I would be forced to break a window or something. I know the lock has the 9v emergency power connection, which sounds like a backup. the power should die, but does this work to open the lock should there be a problem in electronics or communications? Do you have experience with this lock, the 9v emergency option and any general thinking about using a smart lock for the single entry door into a space?
