I worked on installing an electric fireplace in my house. I tried to find one that would allow me to use HomeKit to control it. I looked at the Touchstone Sideline Elite, which seems to have wifi support. Of course, it only works with Alexa and Google at home. However, the site says it works with Tuya. I notice that there is a Tuya home bridge plugin. Now he says he accepts heaters and lights. Someone had experience with this bridge home plugin and used it with this fireplace. I might be a test subject for that. I also see that you can connect it to a switch, so I think the worst case scenario is to be able to put an electrical switch and make it a smart one so that I can switch it that way.
