My use of HomeKit has been quite limited so far and I am trying to significantly extend it this year to replace my home alarm. With my AT&T alarm, I had automations like "when the dog sitter code unlocks the front door, turns on all the interior rooms, turns off the alarm for 30 minutes, then arms and locks all the doors again."
From what I can see in HomeKit, this level of granularity and automation is not capable. It seems that the door opens more (anyone) or they get home, etc. This is true? I'm only looking to use solutions that integrate natively with HomeKit. If that's not possible, it makes me wonder if it's worth the HK integration at all or if I should just stick with one of the alarm companies' equipment, no matter how expensive they seem.
I currently have an integrated Schlage HK lock on Honeywell Lyric alarms and Logitech Circle 2 cameras.
