TUO smart button not HomeKit certified?

Cupertino, March 7, 2024

I just got a TUO smart button and it seems to be working fine for me. However, I question the authenticity of the device that was sent to me. The package had no "sticker" or any other obvious enclosure. Just a box that can be opened and closed without showing signs of tampering. The actual device had a protective plastic shell like an iPhone or something. When I added it to the Apple Home app, I got a warning that it wasn't HomeKit certified. It seemed odd to me, but I figured it might just need a firmware update. So far I haven't seen any sign of a firmware update. Here are images of the device settings in the Apple Home app that clearly shows it is not certified:

Can anyone confirm firmware and hardware versions? So far this device works fine in Home Assistant using multi-fabric connection through Apple Border routers. It's really weird that the Home app is so firm that it's not certified.
