Turn off the heating if the window is open for at least 2 minutes

Cupertino, November 9, 2020

I know it's not possible directly without HomeBridge or anything, but I wanted to ask if this 2 automation works well:

1 - If the sensor detects that it is open, wait 120 sec and turn off the heating for the same room.

2- If the sensor detects that it is closed, turn on the heating (set to a certain temperature)

But since I have a smart tado thermostat system, I want to put it back into automatic mode in the second automation. So basically I'm going to make an HTTP call to IFTTT.

I wonder if I open the window and close it BEFORE 120 seconds, will the first automation photo be triggered to stop the heating after 120 seconds?
Should I add another if condition to check if the window is still open, just before turning it off?

THX.
