This is not necessarily a HomeKit question, but since it is the platform of my choice, maybe someone here can help me. I want to control two LED strips that I intend to power through Hue Powerplugs. I would like it to light up when I turn on another light using a physical switch. To illustrate: the strips are under the cabinets in my kitchen and I want them to turn on when the lights on the extractor over the stove / hob are on. Right now I have a “bad” system in which a masterplug recognizes the power used and starts two slave sockets. However, they cannot be integrated into the HomeKit or any smart home software AFAIK. I tried an Eve Energy as a trigger, but it takes too long to update the consumption, Amps or current to trigger an automation.
Turn on the shade plugs when the device is turned on.
