I've posted here a few times about starting my SmartHome version again and moving on to more HomeKit-centric devices. I wanted to share two community recommendations that I tried and that worked very well.
Eufy Indoor Cam 2k: Using this as a children's room to replace the Owlet. This thing was absolutely amazing. The connection in the Home application is instant and flawless. I hope they add integration to their ringtone line - because I would buy this to replace Nest Hello in a moment. Three things that aren't really a problem, but I didn't know: I had to buy a wall mount, I had to buy an SD card, and I had to find a way to block those wrong wires.
Reagle Lock: Surprised, no talk about it. The integration is impeccable. The keyboard is much easier to use. The screen looks nice. I have an unnecessary lock on August that we currently hate to do nothing and I don't regret it a bit. However, one thing I did not know: if your door does not fit perfectly with the lock, you will feel bad.
Next stop: Hubitat.
