I plan to redo my bathroom and got one of the U by Moen smart taps / controllers. I try to get the smart / HomeKit side configuration before it is installed to make sure it works properly. Well, I'm glad I did, because this apparently won't connect to set up. I even received a warranty replacement and the replacement does the same. When you go through the configuration, it starts with "networking", then changes to "contacting the server". This screen will remain displayed for about 30 seconds before returning to the main configuration page with the code. Both run firmware 1.0.6. I tried to configure these things with multiple wireless networks and it doesn't work every time. I can see in my (unifi) router that it connects to the network and receives an IP, but no data actually flows in / out of it. I think the U by Moen user base is quite small, but I thought I was wondering here to see if anyone had this problem or any idea how to fix it. I have an IoT network that is specially set to 2.4 GHz. I've never had a problem connecting another device to the network, so I don't know what the problem might be. Moen's support was good, but he had no real ideas.
