I thought I would describe our problem in the hope that someone might suggest a solution. We have a golden retriever puppy who has a bad habit of jumping on the counter or on the table to try to steal food. She only does this when I’m not home and when my wife isn’t in the room. We know this from HomeKit Secure videos on our Eufy 2K Indoor cameras. I know movement areas will affect recordings, but will they also affect notifications? Ideally, we would have an animal movement that would trigger a HomePod to tell it to scream. But I don’t think that’s possible right now. We have a lot of small children in and out of the house, so although my wife is very good at eliminating food, she can’t devote any time to trying to catch our dog and tell him to beat her. We look to use children’s gates to reduce opportunities, but I’m trying to find a HomeKit solution because it responds well to verbal commands. I know Eufy offers orders for pets, but I’m not okay with taking my cameras out of HomeKit for fear of losing my recordings. I also don’t like to allow Eufy to enter the house without restrictions. Does anyone have any automation suggestions? I also have a bunch of Aqara motion sensors, but I can’t make them distinguish a dog from all children.
