Use the shortcut to dim the LIFX bulb with the Hue Dimmer

Cupertino, January 20, 2020

Theoretically, it looks like it should be possible to configure a shortcut that triggers when you press buttons 2 and 3 on the hue switch, which goes through a bunch of statements to control the brightness, but can't work in practice. Has anyone done this work?

The logic flows as such:

Pressing button 2 triggers a shortcut

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 90%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 100%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 80%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 90%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 70%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 80%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 60%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 70%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 50%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 60%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 40%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 50%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 30%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 40%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 20%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 30%
End If

If the brightness of the bulb is equal to 10%
Set the brightness of the bulb to 20%
End If

If the bulb is off
Set the brightness of the bulb to 10%
End If

And it would work in the opposite direction for a single push of button 3
