Using the Eufy cam as a motion sensor is hit or missed

Cupertino, November 4, 2020

I try to use the motion sensor on my Eufy 2C camera to turn on a light when motion is detected. Everything is exposed to HomeKit and I have the automation set up, however, it only works about half the time and even when it works, it is often very slow (slow enough that I went where the light is before it turns on, so not too I use).

HKSV recordings work pretty well, though not as fast as I would like. Notifications directly from the Eufy app are almost instantaneous. We tried to change all kinds of settings in the Eufy application, nothing seems to make a difference. Can I do something or is it as it is?
