Water level sensor

Cupertino, March 29, 2021

Hi, my friend asked me to make a water level sensor for his garden irrigation system. It has a water tank with potentiometer sensor, which I want to use. But, after a quick investigation, we found that the only accessory with the water level is the humidifier, which also has many unnecessary features. I tried to mimic a sensor only with this exact feature, which is "water level", but iPhone [home.app](https://home.app) does not recognize it, claiming "This accessory is not currently supported by the Home application". My question: is there a way to connect such a sensor to the HomeKit? Thanks A little clarification: I have no problem reading the value of the sensor / actual water level. No help is needed in this regard. I just need to understand how to add read value to HomeKit - what category / service / feature should I use to make it available to customers, such as home.app?
