Watford FC and Sponsor Sportsbet.io add Bitcoin Symbol to 2019 Home Kit, Raising Awareness for Cryptocurrency » The Merkle Hash

Cupertino, September 13, 2019

September 12e 2019, Tallinn, Estonia - The Bitcoin logo () will now appear on the Premier League Watford football club jersey sleeve for the entirety of the Season 2019/2020as part of an educational activity carried out by the Sportsbet.io innovative sports betting brand.

The logo is part of a wider campaign to raise awareness of Bitcoin and raise public awareness of the benefits of using cryptocurrency. It is led by the main player of Watford FC sponsor of the shirt, Sportsbet.io, who announced a historic agreement with the Hornets team in June.

Justin Le Brocque, Marketing Manager at Sportsbet.io underlined the idea behind the decision, stating that;

"The crypto community has supported us tremendously since our beginnings, so putting the Bitcoin logo on the wallet was a fun way to give back while showing our support for the community."

The sponsorship will be funded through core funding, which will potentially give anyone who owns Bitcoin the exclusive opportunity to share the benefits accorded to Watford FC's sponsors. Contributors can bid LED public space shown live during matches; "Money can not buy, but Bitcoin can," including the use of Bitcoin box for 8 people, and exclusive items from Watford FC.

The Brocque added;

"Some of the biggest challenges we face, along with others like us, are awareness raising, the dissipation of common myths about cryptos, and public education about the benefits and opportunities offered by cryptocurrencies.. Our partnership with Watford marks a major break in the world of traditional sports sponsorship. By adding the Bitcoin logo, we hope that the first partnership of this world will create even more buzz around the crypto-currencies. "

To celebrate Bitcoin sponsorship with all Bitcoin holders, Sportsbet.io also offers 2 mbtc free bet to all players of Sportsbet.ioShould Watford score against Arsenal next Sunday?

Scott Duxbury, President and CEO of Hornets, added:

"Placing the Bitcoin logo on a Premier League jersey is a challenge to the accepted standard. We are excited about the partnerships and the potential for new global conversations that this could help get started for our club. "

Last month, Sportsbet.io announced an innovative three-year partnership with Watford, marking the first time that a company known for its expertise in blockchain and cryptocurrency appeared on the front of a Premier League jersey.

The announcement was accompanied by the launch of Sportsbet.io's "Know No Borders" campaign, which highlights the brand's commitment to placing players at the heart of the action, regardless of their country, their sport, their team or their motto. Sportsbet.io accepts a range of fiat and crypto-currencies, including Bitcoin, to offer the best of fun, fast and fair play.
